Changing leaking hub seal Land Rover

Changing Land Rover hub seals, a not to difficult DIY job, most Land Rovers will start leaking at their hubs (and swivels) sooner or later. This post is a link to a thread on how to replace a leaky hub oil seal – and what a filthy job it is too – especially if you have One Shot in the swivel housings (in stead of the standard EP80/90 gear oil). If the leak is slight, then it’s not too bad, but if you have a gusher and the owner has been driving for a while, then it’s just plain awful.

Above a typical example of a badly leaking hub seal. At this stage EP oil or swivel grease will be all over the place, brake pads and discs will be covered in grease, make sure you replace the brqake pads and check both brake discs left and right.
