Durability & lifespan… the Noisekiller Acoustic Engine Blanket. The product does help to reduce engine noise but will it last? Ours did not…. heat and engine vibration (it’s a diesel…) did rattle and shake the lead filling of the acoutic blanket into small fragments. Without vibration and fitted to a static engine these blankets might last much longer but on top of a Tdi Land Rover vehicle engine the lifespan could be very short…. Price tag around the GBP100. Money well spend? Guess unfortunately not…
Update: December 2011, this blanket supplied via the Dutch representative (some years back) might have been a non genuine one. Noise Killer UK has now replaced the blanket with a new one F.O.C. Read more.
