THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER… NEW LANDROVER BULKHEADS FOR SERIES 2/2a ARE NOW AVAILABLE TO ORDER!
Pegasus Parts has launched new, remanufactured bulkheads for Series 2/2a. This involved completely stripping down several good original bulkheads, cutting sections and partially dismantling them to prepare an accurate set of drawings. Paul Halley, the proprietor of Pegasus Parts and enthusiast since he was a child said “At present many Land-Rover owners have difficulty in finding good or salvageable bulkheads to restore their Series 2/2a, I envisage Pegasus Parts will meet their needs”.
“With many years of manufacturing and production experience behind me, I set out to remanufacture, in volume, the equivalent replica bulkhead ‘as it left the factory’ many years ago”.
However, the process hasn’t been plain sailing; taking almost 20 months to reverse engineer, produce drawings and remanufacture the engineering prototype; these bulkheads are assembled to more accurate tolerances than the originals.
Using current CAD and laser cutting technology, the original key features include:
Pressed ribs in the foot wells
Captive nuts and cages
Tool location and jig points
Internal stiffeners, nut plates, etc.
Get the long anticipated Series 2/2a bulkhead before anyone else. Introductory prices start at £1100.00 plus VAT. Various final finishes are available, and special coatings or colours can be applied at extra cost. Hot Dip Galvanised bulkheads are still under development.
